Born and raised in Paris, Tennessee, Marcia Moss first gained statewide recognition in 1965 when she was crowned Miss Tennessee, representing her hometown as Miss Paris. Throughout her distinguished career, Moss taught science and inspired generations of students at the University School of Jackson. She also served students in the Jackson-Madison County School System, the Crockett County School System, and Jackson State Community College, where she worked in the remedial education program.
